About the resort

Built inside a working
arecanut plantation

The resort occupies a working plantation of arecanut palms and shade-grown coffee. Rather than clearing the land, the buildings were placed among the existing rows and the walkways follow paths that were already there, so the planting rather than the architecture sets the character of the property.

Added to it are the things a plantation does not have on its own: a full-size swimming pool, a lawn large enough for cricket and volleyball, a dining hall under a terracotta roof, and a floodlit open-air stage used for group events and celebrations.
