Reaching Sakleshpur means the ghat road, which is slow through the monsoon and difficult with young children. Hassan is highway for most of the route, followed by a short stretch along the Belur road.

A number of properties an hour from Sakleshpur are marketed as Sakleshpur resorts. We would rather state the distance up front and let you decide, because arriving somewhere other than where you expected is the quickest way to spoil a trip.
If you are looking for coffee estates in the ghats, hill mist and trekking from the doorstep, Sakleshpur itself is the right choice. If you are looking for a swimming pool, a lawn, a bonfire and three meals a day without the drive through the ghats, the rest of this page is worth reading.
